Video: Katchafire play on one of the 5 stages at Jim Beam Homegrown
Wellington turned on the sun for over 20,000 Rocked along to Jim Beam Homegrown this weekend
Jim Beam Homegrown 2024 is spread across five stages along Wellington’s stunning waterfront, there’ll be 45 acts making Jim Beam Homegrown the biggest celebration of music from Aotearoa.
The day even started with not the sort of rock people were expecting with an earthquake, that a few people felt but didn’t seem to put anyone off, and there was certainly a lot more movement to come and the crowd bounced, danced, and sometimes swayed with the beats along side the waterfront.
Erin Williams said “My cup is full, thanks again Homegrown, always an epic weekend and Welly turned on the Q for us yet again”
Chris Robertson said “After 10 years of wanting I finally got there this year and it was epic!! Thanks Homegrown and Wellington for putting on an awesome event, can’t wait for my next one”
Featuring names of some of the finest kiwi musicians like Stan Walker, Bic Runga. Talented bands like Kora, LAB and Katchafire. From rock to pop and everything in between it’s no wonder people come from all round the country to see this festival like Sofia Rask who traveled from Whangarei with her partner and said “it didn’t disappoint! Best festival l’ve ever been to hands down had a blast! We will be back!”
The Homegrown festival has sold out for the last 16 years. Of course we had a couple of years where the festival didn’t happen because of COVID.
