Positively Wellington was a brand ushered in by Fran Wilde and cemented by Kerry Prendergast, who came hot on the heels of a Mark Blumsky council that was running events and a relaunch and a rollout of a Melbourne-style city.
The good times some say when Courtney Place was alive, the sevens were pumping and the city enjoyed vibrancy. Kerry Prendergast was a successful city mayor who was well-liked, very progressive and seemed to be organized and well-supported.
Who is going to be the next Kerry Prendergast in Wellington? The next female that leads the city after Tory Whanau, spends her three, six, or nine years. Who is going to lead the City. Is it going to be another female, the writer of this article hopes so.
It’s a debate. Your feedback is welcomed. Please let us know who the next Kerry Prendergast, leader, mayor, and visionary of Wellington could be.
