Wishing you a speedy recovery

I have a mate—a one-eyed Cantabrian. Throughout our 25-year friendship, he’s experienced regular and consistent Crusader wins over the mighty Hurricanes. This irks (to put it politely)…even as he maintains his one-eyed views and commentary.

But maybe there’s a rugby god?My mate now faces cataract surgery for each eye.

The question is: can modern medicine miraculously also cure his one-eyedness? I wait in joyful hope.

The possibility of including a separate laser procedure is also available. Would this cure the Canterbury blindness?

With Ardie Savea soon returning to the mighty Hurricanes, it has to be hoped that the strong possibility of a win is a chance to balance the vision equation. Mostly though, we hope for a complete and speedy recovery for a staunch rugby fan.
