‘Crafty Trail’
For all the Craft Beer lovers
To kickstart WellingtonLive’s tailor-made tours, we present the ‘Crafty Trail’, for all our craft beer lovers. Gather your crew on Tory Street, where you can all enjoy a craft beer at Panhead Brewery, savouring their classic pale ale, priced at just $12. Bask in the warmth of their sun-soaked outdoor seating area before heading to The Malthouse on Willis Street, where you can continue the craft beer adventure. Recognized as the ‘craft beer capital’ and boasting an impressive lineup of 30 taps, you won’t want to miss our top recommendation, the Lithium Pilsner by Boneface ($13). After giving your brews a chance to settle, make your way to The Cambridge Hotel, discreetly nestled off Courtenay Place. Here, you’ll relish both thrilling sports action and equally exceptional beer ($12 pints). If you happen to overindulge in the brews, you’re in luck – their venue also offers comfortable hotel rooms upstairs, ensuring a convenient and cosy end to your night.

For tapping into your feminine side
Next up we have a bubbling champagne and cocktail trail, a tailored night out perfectly designed to celebrate your feminine side. Grab your freinds and head down to Courtenay place’s Champagneria, where you’ll start your night out with Wellington’s largest selection of international champagnes, starting at just $8. Take in the cityscape from their rooftop bar before heading across the road to your next stop, The Library, where you’ll be tickled pink with their delicious cocktails. Our favourite is the ‘Eton Messed up’ cocktail ($28), pictured above; a great choice for a night all about painting the town pink! Just a breezy 5 minute stroll away lies El Barrio, where you can let your hair down and boogie off the bubbles. They offer some great sharing options, like the picada platters if you fancy a bite, and their strawberry daiquiris ($20) will ensure you end the night on a sweet note.
