Encanto, the acclaimed animated movie that won an Oscar, will be transformed into a te reo Māori rendition, marking the fifth Disney film to undergo this remarkable adaptation. Matewa Media and The Walt Disney Company have joined forces to make this significant announcement.
The pioneering minds behind Matewa Media, Tweedie Waititi, an International Award Emmy winner, and Chelsea Winstanley, an Oscar-nominated filmmaker, are embarking on a quest to assemble a talented team of arero Māori (te reo speakers) who are passionate about contributing to this extraordinary project.
