Hi, We have just recorded members of your Wellington policing team pulling a vehicle over in Courtenay Place, due to a suspended license for demerits. As part of our storytelling for HOTLINE our new nightly show, we interviewed two boy racers last week, about boy racing and this story will follow that, in terms of public interest in boy racing and Police operations in Wellington.
On this occasion the car was potentially being impounded and towed, but the officers discovered “much to the owners relief” that his license was “in fact suspended for demerits” but the driver has been able to obtain a new license through nzta. A confusing situation for the owner, his friends, and the Police was avoided and the owners brother came and collected the car
On this occasion, the owner was made to lock his car and leave it.
Owner saying it was a mistake by Nzta.
Question:
Does this inter system confusion happen often?
